Overview

Washers are designed to distribute the pressure of the nut or bolt evenly over the part being secured, reducing the risk of damage. The high specification washers offer additional features such as resistance to loosening and are also ideal on oversized or oval holes.

Conical washer range is designed to prevent loosening of assemblies by two actions:

  • The elastic compensation of expansion and contraction
  • The elimination of play
Therefore the conical washer is ideal for:
  • Applications requiring vibration resistance
  • Parts supporting temperature variations

Contact washer range is designed to create an elastic pre-load in a threaded joint so as to reduce risk of unwanted loosening. The Contact washer range is ideal in the following applications:

  • Oversized or oval holes
  • Applications requiring vibration resistance
  • Parts subject to temperature variations
The conical geometry and the splines provide a high resistance to loosening of the nut whilst avoiding damage to the work piece.

Onduflex® washers are designed to compensate for axial play and misalignment in an assembly, and to reduce risk of disassembly. Two types are available:

  • Waved spring locking washer for soft materials such as aluminum, copper and plastics
  • Waved spring damping washer which compensates for axial play
